HitmanPro isn't finding anything, nor is Norton Security or even Malware Adware Cleaner. I Googled the problem (as you do) and another forum recommended resetting Chrome to its defaults, and this didn't fix the problem either, though I did reset the 'block notifications' setting. In fact, I have them blocked in the settings so websites can't ask me if I want to allow them. I should point out, I haven't changed or added any extensions in that time, I haven't installed any new software, and I certainly haven't allowed any pop up notifications. For one of them, it now says 'removal failed'. ![]() But when I've looked in the detection history, it says they were either only 'quarantined' or 'replaced', which is annoying since I'd said to delete them. I quarantine and remove them, and the next day, they're back. They're categorised as PUP Pop Up Notifications. ![]() For the past three days, every morning I switch on my laptop, Malwarebytes runs its usual scan and comes up to tell me it's found some threats.
